Dwayne Johnson hungry for Fast 8 co-stars
Dwayne Johnson has joked he would cook Vin Diesel and Jason Statham and eat them as part of his 'Fast and Furious 8' diet if he could.
The wrestler-turned-actor has started a new health plan in preparation for shooting the action movie in four weeks time, in which he will reprise his role of Luke Hobbs, and insisted his character will resemble a "lethal" animal.
Johnson - who was known as The Rock during his wrestling days - shared a picture of his new breakfast on Instagram, and attached the caption: "Fun transition begins. Final weeks of shooting #BAYWATCH, and today I start my prep for #FastAndFurious8 which I start shooting in 4 weeks.
"Physically for #BAYWATCH I wanted "Mitch Buchannon" to come in lean, mean and a dysfunctional superhero of the beach. And full of raunchy Rated R humor. Mission accomplished.
"For FAST8, the character of "Hobbs" will come in like an animal - bigger, lethal, meaner and tougher than a $2 dollar steak.
"530am breakfast. Grass fed buffalo, whole eggs and 80grams of Cream of Wheat. (trust me, if I could cook up Vin, Statham and the rest of the Fast dudes I'd eat them too). This is gonna fun.

Last year, Johnson - who is known for his muscular physique - revealed he eats seven meals a day, including 36oz of cod and 8oz of steak, and starts exercising at 4am.
He said: "For different roles my condition and training and diet does alter. Depending on the role, it will really dictate the type of training I do.
"For 'Hercules,' it was a 22-week diet, while for 'G.I. Joe: Retaliation' it was about a 14-week diet, and for 'Pain & Gain' I wanted to come out looking bulky, big, and dangerous, so we adjusted accordingly."
