Everybody stay calm: Jamie Dornan is not quitting 'Fifty Shades'

Looks like the original Christian Grey will be sticking around.

The world was in a panic earlier this week after Australian magazine NW claimed that Jamie Dornan - wo plays a billionaire with a penchant for S&M - was quitting the burgeoning franchise.

The mag claimed that bad reviews of his performance and those steamy sex scenes had given the actor cold feet about reprising his role for the next two Fifty Shades films.

"He tried to assure Amelia [his wife] nothing would change but women all over the world now lust after Jamie," says an 'insider'.

But it seems we all got our knickers in a knot for no reason.

A rep for the actor has claimed the claims are only based on "conjecture", and that the studio hasn't even committed to a sequel as yet.

Phew.

The rumours are the latest elephant in the room for the spank-tastic franchise, with reports also suggesting that director Sam Taylor-Johnson may not be back to direct the next two films.

Taylor-Johnson had already revealed she clashed with the author of the books, E. L. James, during production of the film, and with reports that James wants creative control over the next script, we're not sure the director is keen for a round two.
