Margot Robbie loves staying in hostels

Margot Robbie prefers staying in hostels to five-star hotels.

The 'Focus' star has revealed she enjoys staying in the more sociable surroundings of a hostel because it creates opportunities for her to meet interesting new people.

The 24-year-old actress - who's seen her profile skyrocket since starring alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in 'The Wolf of Wall Street' - told Australia's Kyle and Jackie O Kiis FM breakfast show: "They're (hostels) so much fun and you meet so many people.

"When you stay in a hotel everything's very planned and you only really encounter people you plan on encountering."

Margot's confession comes shortly after she suggested there was a link between her going on vacation and being offered film roles.

Speaking earlier this week, she explained that she was offered the part of Donna Freedman in the Australian soap opera 'Neighbours' two days into a trip to Canada, while her part in 'Focus' came about during another holiday.

She said: "It seems to be the way I get jobs - I book a holiday, I get to the other side of the world, then I'll get the job.

"It's kind of my method now."
