Diana Hardcastle energised on set

Diana Hardcastle found filming 'The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel' to be an "extraordinarily energising feeling".

The British actress, who stars in the movie alongside the likes of Dame Judi Dench, Dev Patel and Richard Gere, found shooting in India quite intense because of the late working hours, but she still had a great time.

She told BANG Showbiz: "I think filming the movie was an extraordinarily energising feeling. We did an awful lot of serious night shoots, by which I mean we didn't get home at two in the morning. We would start at five in the evening and we didn't get home until seven in the morning. And then you do it again the next day."

Diana also paid tribute to her co-star Dev Patel, who she said did an incredible job of keeping spirits high on the set with his "sense of fun".

She reflected: "What Dev is brilliant at is rallying people, he's got this tremendous energy and a sense of fun. He's a damn good egg, that guy."
