Scott Eastwood didn't ride a bull until after The Longest Ride

Scott Eastwood didn't ride a bull until after filming 'The Longest Ride'.

The 29-year-old actor stars as former bull-riding champion Luke Collins in the new film, but has revealed he didn't get on an actual bull until after the cameras stopped filming.

Speaking at a New York screening of the film, Scott revealed: "I actually rode a bull after the movie. What an idiot, right?

"I didn't feel comfortable looking these guys in the face the whole time they're buckin' bulls and then going and promoting a movie and saying that I knew what it was about.

"So I went up with my buddies and I didn't get killed."

Scott also admitted he was inspired by his 84-year-old father Clint, who is famous for his work in Western films like 'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly'.

According to the New York Post newspaper, he said: "My dad, he's inspired me since I was a little kid. Sitting there as a kid watching 'Clint Eastwood Night' on TNT ... this guy knows what he's doing."

Later, he added: "That's funny that I played a cowboy. I don't know how that sort of happened."
