Eddie Redmayne tipped for more Oscars success

Eddie Redmayne has been tipped to win his second Oscar for his performance in 'The Danish Girl'.

The 33-year-old Brit won the Best Actor prize at this year's Academy Awards for his performance in the Stephen Hawking biopic 'The Theory of Everything', and Eddie's 'Danish Girl' co-star Matthias Schoenaerts has claimed he'll soon be adding to his collection.

He told Collider: "We just wrapped it exactly a week ago. Yeah, we were in Norway in a beautiful place on top of a mountain with a crazy panoramic view.

"I don't want to jinx it, but I can honestly say I'm pretty sure that Eddie Redmayne is gonna get his second Oscar nom, if not just the second Oscar period."

Earlier this year, Hollywood analyst Scott Feinberg suggested Eddie - who plays Lili Elbe, one of the first known recipients of sexual reassignment surgery, in 'The Danish Girl' - could vastly increase his earning potential by appearing in a superhero movie.

He said: "It is a big deal. Studios love enticing audiences by saying they have an Oscar winner on board. The next few weeks, months will be a very hectic, crazy time where a lot of offers will be made.

"Eddie has charmed everyone this year and Academy voters were very impressed by the physicality and commitment in his performance. Filmmakers want him for his likability and his talent."
