EMMA STONE LOVES THE SPIDER-MAN "BOYS' CLUB"

In an interview with Total Film, Emma Stone revealed that she believes playing Gwen Stacy in the Amazing Spider-Man franchise has given her a special place in comic book fans' hearts.

"Everyone's like, 'Oh, Mary Jane! I know Mary Jane.' But Gwen's been a fun one to play because only really passionate comic book fans know the story," she said.

"And that's been a really cool introduction to the comic book world and to being in the boys' club."

But while she embraces the passion of Spider-Man's fans, the actress hasn't yet had an encounter with a scary super-fan.

"Weirdly, I don't meet that many super fans in my day-to-day life," she continued. "I thought more people would say something about Gwen."
