EXCLUSIVE: THE ROCK'S EPIC INJURY THAT ALMOST RUINED 'HERCULES'

We're still not entirely convinced that Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson is actually human.

WIN: A holiday to Greece thanks to 'Hercules'

In our exclusive video (above), The Rock discusses an insane injury -- damaged tendons in his pelvis -- that he suffered just prior to filming his definitive 'Hercules' movie.

Rather than have surgery (like a sane person) which would have pushed back the movie by a year, he opted for some old school pushing through the pain.

"That was some good pain,” says The Rock. “I elected not to have surgery and just rehab and hopefully over time the tendons would just scar tissue up and I'll be fine and maybe not walk with a limp.”

Riiiiiight. See -- clearly not human.

TV Hercules Kevin Sorbo is p***ed he's not in the new movie

If that wasn't bad enough, his tendon injury weakened his abs, forcing him under the knife anyway two weeks before filming to repair a triple hernia.

But wait there's more! Filming only had to be pushed back by two weeks to allow for his recovery, which he effectively worked through on set. Y'know, while swinging clubs and swords, killing enemies and destroying brick walls.
