JLAW MAKES INAPPROPRIATE 'RAPE JOKE' AT CANNES PARTY

Jennifer Lawrence has caused all sorts of controversy over in Cannes after telling a joke about rape.
The world has gone pretty mad after the off the cuff wise-crack was overheard at an industry party hosted by Armani and Vanity Fair where Jen didn’t think she was being listened to.

JLaw made the joke when she encountered Gravity director Alfonso Cuarón, who just so happened to recently win about a million Oscars.
Spotting him across the room the 23-year-old started screaming, then approached him and said: "I broke out my rape scream for you!"

The actresses choice words have been called ‘medieval’ and dubbed ‘bad taste’ by a number of commentators.

And of course, Twitter has had its say on the whole furore with one user writing: "Jennifer Lawrence needs to apologize for this joke ASAP".

A writer for the website, Crushable, wrote: "By her blasé use of the terminology, it seems likely that she’s been lucky enough never to be in a situation necessitating that type of scream, or else I hope she wouldn’t throw it around so casually."
While celebrity blogger, Perez Hilton wrote: "We know you're always open and honest in interviews, but COME ON, a rape joke?!?

"We're sure she thought that what was said at the party was private, but even still, that's no excuse for a rape joke!! They're not funny, ever."
Jennifer is yet to apologise or comment on the incident.
